Payment Options

Please bring your insurance card with you each time you come to the office.  It is important that you notify us if you have any change in your health insurance coverage.

We participate in most insurance plans, HMO's and PPO's.  It is best, however, to check with our office manager when you call for an appointment.  Occasionally, with certain types of private insurance, you may be asked to pay at the time services are rendered.  Our office manager can give you a receipt you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Insurance plans vary and may cover anywhere from 0% to 100% of your medical and surgical expenses.  HMO and PPO patients are often responsible for a portion of their health care costs, such as, co-payments, co-insurance or deductibles.  It is your responsibility to understand your and your Health Plan's individual financial responsibilities.  Please direct any questions or complaints about your coverage to your Health Plan.

Charges for office visits are determined by the time spent, and vary with the severity and complexity of the problem as well as any additional screening, testing and vaccinations that may be administered.  If you have questions, please contact our office manager.  We are concerned about the cost of medical care and appreciate your input.

Co-payments are due at the time of your visit.  We prefer not to send bills, because the time, postage and expenses of paperwork affect our fees.  Co-insurance, deductibles and other services not covered by your insurance coverage will be billed to the person denoted as the responsible party.  Payment is due upon receipt.  Overdue payments may be subject to additional billing fees.  If you need to arrange a payment plan please contact my office manager, Linda, and she will assist you.  She is available to answer inquiries or discuss any concerns by telephone.

Facilities and Equipment

Our office is equipped to provide most of the testing and treatment your children will require during their visit. We provide all routine vaccinations, blood and urine testing, rapid strep testing, hearing and vision screening. We also are equipped to perform minor procedures like removal of foreign bodies, simple suturing, splinting and ACE wrapping.

We are proud of the fact we have been using an electronic medical record system since 2006. Our system is directly linked to specialist physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital, Mass Eye and Ear Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital as well as their affiliated satellite clinics. This gives us the ability to provide better communication and coordination of your child’s care.
